We are one of the largest colorectal specialist groups in the United States and the largest in North Central Texas. One of the important factors to consider when selecting a colorectal specialist to care for you or a loved one, is board certification. All TCRS specialists are certified by the American Board of Colon & Rectal Surgery, the governing body of the American Society of Colon & Rectal Surgeons. The ASCRS is the premier society for surgeons specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of colon and rectal disorders. As board certified surgeons, TCRS physicians not only have proficiency in the field of general surgery, but they have also completed the most advanced training in the prevention, diagnosis, treatment and management of colon and rectal diseases and disorders. As you browse the brief summaries of each TCRS surgeons’ credentials, you will notice along with board certification, several of our specialists are nationally sought speakers, requested to share their extensive knowledge with other medical professionals. Additionally, some teach in fellowship programs to prospective colorectal specialists. Others are active in the development and review of certification standards for ABCRS, participating at the Board level.
