Dr. Lowney is a board certified in colon and rectal surgery and is a Fellow of the American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons. After completing her fellowship at the internationally renowned Washington University School of Medicine, she remained on staff in a faculty position, prior to relocating to Dallas.
Dr. Lowney has extensive experience with inflammatory bowel disease as well as minimally invasive approaches to colorectal cancer, polyps and other colorectal conditions. She is an expert in advanced laparoscopic colorectal surgery, and teaches laparoscopic surgery to surgeons on the national level.
Dr. Lowney has a special interest in the management of pelvic floor disorders including anal incontinence, constipation and prolapse.
In addition, her practice includes screening as well as diagnostic colonoscopies, as well as treatment for hemorrhoids, diverticulitis and other colorectal disorders.
Dr. Lowney resides in Dallas with her husband and two children.
