Jennifer Lowney completed her fellowship at the internationally renowned Washington University School of Medicine and remained on staff in a faculty position before relocating to Dallas. After joining TCRS, she became the first surgeon to complete a TEM (transanal endoscopic microsurgery) using the Wolf microscope in the DFW area.

"TEM is a painless procedure, with no incisions that can be done as an outpatient. I am always researching and learning new techniques to better care for my patients."

In addition to her advanced abilities in microsurgery, Dr. Lowney is an expert in advanced laparoscopic colorectal surgery and actively teaches the necessary skills to other surgeons on a national level. She also shares her knowledge through many chapters written for student textbooks. Dr. Lowney likes to focus her expertise on minimally invasive approaches to colorectal cancer and the management of women’s pelvic floor disorders including fecal incontinence, constipation and prolapse. Her practice covers most colorectal conditions and procedures including, screening and diagnostic colonoscopies, a wide range of treatment for hemorrhoids, diverticulitis and other colorectal disorders.

Dr. Lowney enjoys playing golf, gourmet cooking, and looks forward to training for her next marathon. She and her husband have two children and live in Dallas. Dr. Lowney is board certified by the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Colon & Rectal Surgery.
